June, Work, and Lions

Date: June 10, 2013
Area: Zimbabwe, Gweru Mambo
Companion: Elder Marz

The week went well for the beginning, but died down a bit towards the end. We almost reached our goal of 30 lessons, but no one wanted to be around for the last two days of the week. We had some wonderful experiences and some weird experiences this week.

Monday, well, we had some errands to run so not much happened.

Tuesday, an investigator we had dropped came to church two weeks ago so we visited her this day and shared with her. After that she disappeared and we have not seen her since. Ha Ha! Eish! We aslo met Brother M is a very special spirit, but he absolutely loves the word of God. He stays with members and I am not exactly sure if what we say gets through to him. We also met with Sister W whom is continuing to progress very well.

Wednesday, we visited Sister Te who is recovering very well from the sickness she had. It seems like things are working out with the marriage as well. I hope everything continues to go well with her and T. They are an amazing couple and Father is helping them. Oh! We now have a car and we are going to get fat! We have also already received a mystery scratch on it. We do not know where it came from and it is in an odd shape. I do not enjoy being in a car that much, especially a new car. i am constantly in fear of damaging it or something happening to it, but it helps out a lot. Magically after we received the car we had like a million errands to run. Ha Ha! We also found a 85-year-old baba that day and he is very kind and does not seem like he is above 80.

Thursday, We shared with a lot of people today, but we ended up helping out a bit with some elders who will be leaving...more problems with visa's! Yay! Oh well, the Lord knows where he wants his missionaries. I hope the visa issues get solved soon.
Friday, shared with more people and we met the wife of one of the members. She has been coming to church for over a half a year and she has not yet been baptized or even taught. We found out the reason is because of marriage issues. We will be working towards solving that.

Saturday, while visiting brother M we had a wonderful experience! When we were about to finish our lesson the member who stays at the house came in and said that there is a woman that wanted to see us. Of course we were more than happy to meet with someone. Sister Ci walked in and we greeted each other. She said she wanted to learn more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so we began with the Restoration. She is a new member to a church and she is trying to find out if it is the right place to be. As soon as we started teaching she leaned forward in her chair listening intently. She had a lot of questions and we did not finish the lesson but the spirit was strong. What a wonderful time to see Father lead His daughter to us.

Sunday, We met with Sister S for the first time. A very kind lady. we also visited sister C to continue helping her with her challenges.

Monday (today), Antelope Park! We also met a very nice white missionary baba from another church. They may not be in the true church but they were very Christ-like. I think this teaches us that membership in the true church does not guarantee us to be like Christ or even saved. We need to develop ourselves AND find the correct church not JUST one or the other.

I am well. The week was wonderful! I am still behind in my journal, it is such a difficult task for me. The internet is not good here at all. So far since I have been here I cannot even log on to my email until around 2:00pm and then it is okay, but then we experience glitches and things. I still have as much email time as I always have, just not good email. What questions did I not answer?

I love the area and the members are great! We meet in a school for sacrament and classes. President Cook did come and it was amazing as always. I could talk with that man the whole day. He is a wonderful father figure to me. I do not know much about visa's but it sounds like I will at least be able to stay until the end of my normal service. But I am still unsure.

I did talk to Josh and we emailed. He said he finished his reply letter to me about two days ago. I have not received any letters from anyone for a very long time though. Ha Ha! I just got the Take 5 package today though! Thank you for that!

If you can send more take 5's that would be wonderful!

I love you all so much. Thank you for your support and encouragement and prayers in my behalf! You are wonderfully grand!

Keep the Faith
